Focus and Scope

The  journal  de la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias FAGROPEC publishes scientific, technical, reflective and review contributions, case reports, brief communications and others that, according to the Editorial Committee, deserve to be published through this medium. It is printed twice a year, with two issues per year: January-June and July-December.

 

Peer Review Process

The review and approval of manuscripts submitted to the  journal  de la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias -FAGROPEC, will be carried out by academic peers using the double-blind methodology in order to guarantee fair, honest and ethical selection processes considering: originality, relevance, timeliness, contributions, scientific rigor and compliance with the standards set for authors. Communication between the editorial committee will be made directly with the corresponding author appearing in the manuscript, as representative of the group of authors (in the case of more than one author) and legally responsible for the manuscript. The verdict, as a result of the arbitration and review by the Editorial Committee, is communicated to the authors accompanied by an evaluation report on the basis of: 

1. Accepted: the article has no observations and presents the required structure and will be sent to the proofreading process, with prior notification to the author.
2. Accepted with observations: the article lacks the structure required by the journal and has observations that the author must incorporate in order for the work to be published. The following situations may arise: a.The author refuses to apply the observations: in this case, the article will be formally rejected. b. The author partially incorporates the observations: in this case the article will be formally rejected. The author partially incorporates the comments: in this case, the person in charge of the evaluation process will request a justification from the author and will send it, together with a copy of the new version of the article, to a third referee, who will decide whether the article is published or rejected. c. The author fully incorporates the comments: in this case, the article will be sent, with prior notification to the author, to the proofreading process.
3. Rejected: In the event that the referee rules a rejection, the article will be formally rejected. The evaluation process, in case of rejection of an article, does not consider the author's appeal. The article will have its date of receipt and date of acceptance to demonstrate the arbitration of the article.

 

The  journal  de la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias, in order to guarantee quality standards in publications, establishes as a reference the code of conduct and good practices whose norms are established by the Committee of Ethics in Publications (COPE) Code of Ethics. PDF

 

Frequency of Publication

The FAGROPEC Journal is published twice a year, twice a year: January-June and July-December.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Authors will retain copyright along with academic use rights and FAGROPEC will be granted publication and distribution rights.

This journal does not charge for the processing, reception and evaluation of articles; nor for those approved for publication. It does not charge APC and the contents are available in full text and without restrictions.

Copyrights

The journal FAGROPEC authorizes the total or partial reproduction of the published article, as long as the source is cited, including the name of the journal, author(s), year, volume, number and pages.

The ideas and statements expressed by the authors are their sole responsibility and do not represent the views and opinions of the Journal or its editors.

The FAGROPEC journal is published in electronic format and provides full text articles in PDF and HTML format.

Our journal provides free access to all published articles without any cost for the editorial process, a policy based on the principle of promoting the global exchange of knowledge.

The author must grant the editor the right to publish the work.
