The FAGROPEC Journal – Journal of Agricultural Sciences establishes this protocol to ensure the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scientific record.
1. Objective
To establish guidelines for the correction, retraction, and updating of published articles.
2. Types of Editorial Actions
2.1 Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum)
Applied when minor errors exist that do not affect the scientific validity of the article. A correction note linked to the original article is published.
2.2 Retraction
Applied when serious errors, plagiarism, data manipulation, or ethical violations exist. The article remains visible but is marked as “RETRACTED.”
2.3 Expression of Concern
Used when there are suspicions of irregularities under investigation.
3. Procedure
Receipt: Cases may be reported by authors, readers, or reviewers.
Evaluation: The editorial team analyzes the case and gathers evidence.
Decision: The editor and editorial board determine the appropriate action.
Publication: An editorial note is issued and linked to the original article.
4. Traceability
The journal guarantees the historical record of changes and the availability of corrected information.
5. Responsibilities
Authors: Report errors and collaborate in the process.
Editor: Ensure the transparency of the process.
Editorial board: Support the ethical review.
6. Scope
