Occupational accidents are a relevant problem due to its impact on productivity and workers’ health. In this context, occupational welfare programmes have been complementary to OH&S Management Systems to reduce injuries and absenteeism. Objective: To analyze the scientific production on occupational well-being and prevention of occupational accidents, identifying trends, thematic clusters and research gaps. Methods: A bibliometric study was carried out in the Scopus database (2000-2025). The search equation combined terms related to work environment, accidents, prevention and well-being. We included articles and reviews in English or Spanish of open access belonging to psychology and social sciences. The data were processed in RStudio with Bibliometrix/Biblioshiny, analyzing annual productivity, authors, co-occurrence networks, co-citation, thematic clusters and international collaboration. Results: 252 documents were identified. Production has been growing since 2015. The thematic maps showed five main clusters: regulation and economic context, vulnerability and organizational support, health inequalities, heat stress and climate change, and Industry 4.0. International collaboration is concentrated in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, with little participation from Latin America, Africa and part of Asia. Conclusions: Evidence suggests a transition from approaches focused on physical risks to comprehensive wellness programs that incorporate psychosocial factors, mental health, and worker participation. However, geographical and thematic gaps persist that demand more studies in contexts of high job insecurity and impact evaluations of welfare programs on the reduction of accidents.
